Coaches

The Timberwolves hockey director along with our coaches are dedicated to the growth and development of our players. Our coaches bring energy, strength, knowledge, loyalty, trust and caring to our organization. They are committed to helping players grow as athletes and individuals and strive to develop them physically and mentally and play an active role in the leadership, development and personal growth of our players. Their ultimate goal is to build confidence, encourage, inspire and instill the fundamentals necessary for each player to  have fun, and continue to develop in the game of hockey.

Directors Statement

I started at the Triphahn Center in 2013, this is where I call home. Hockey is a game that I love, and every day I look forward to coming to the rink to work with and to help develop and improve our players. As an educator in the public school system for the past seventeen years, I have learned that there is one rule that educators and coaches must always follow. That rule is “it’s all about the kids". I always have been, and will continue to be extremely conscious of how the decisions I make affect our players, and to make sure those decisions are always to their benefit.

It is very important for me to ensure that a player not only preserves, but furthers their love for the game of hockey. I love the saying, “The speed of the coach is the speed of the team”. This I believe to mean that the passion, energy, enthusiasm and desire to excel exhibited by the coach will be emulated by the team. Simply playing hockey is not enough. I aim to instill in each player that putting in extra effort and time to achieve a goal, and to excel beyond that goal is an essential component to not only the game of hockey, but to their futures. At the end of the day, regardless of the ups and downs of the game, my goal is for each player to have fun, and continue to develop their talents and thrive in everything they do.
